Guidelines for building/buying manses
The requirements for a minister’s house differs from that of the average family home in several ways. To help you in understanding what the differences are and to assist you with incorporating them in your planning of a new house or the assessment of an existing layout, Property Services have produced the attached booklet.
The Uniting Church requires certain rooms in a minister’s residence to have a minimum area, while other rooms have special requirements that must be met. The standards included in this booklet are mandatory unless special approval is obtained from the Synod Property Board to vary them.
